What to do when you’re not happy at work
Being a happy employee is not simply about getting a paycheck at the end of the week. It’s about finding satisfaction and enjoyment in your work. When you love what you do, it shows in your attitude and your performance.

(1) Identify the reason for your unhappiness
First, take a step back and assess your situation. What is it about your job that you don’t like?
Maybe you’re not passionate about the work itself, or maybe you don’t feel like you fit in with the company culture. Maybe you’re not challenged enough in your current role, or you don’t feel like you’re making a difference. Perhaps you’re not well-matched with your co-workers, or you’re feeling burnt out from working long hours. Once you identify the source of your dissatisfaction, it will be easier to find a solution.
If you’re simply bored with your work, try to find new ways to challenge yourself and stay engaged. If you’re having difficulty getting along with your coworkers, see if there’s anything you can do to improve your relationships.
